| Alfonso, Cesar |
physician and artist. He was born in Cuba and spent his formative years in Havana, Madrid and San Juan. He studied Art History at Yale University and relocated to New York to complete a medical degree. As an artist he has absorbed a minimalist aesthetic after experimentation with sculpted canvases, deriving inspiration from olfactory and gustatory delights, as well as from the noise and visual extravagance of his voyages. His latest paintings exalt synthetic minimalism and the expressive power of color with the playful juxtaposition of hand made textured rice papers on twodimensional oil painting compositions where the vibrancy of colors creates the illusion of depth and movement, while inviting introspection and serenity.

| Alvarez,Manuel (Lolo) |
Havana once again is the muse that inspires talented artists, in this case, LOLO, who with wise mastery and hyper realistic dominance of shape, subtly invites us to be swayed by his influence and candour; his desires to live life, his urban ambiances where paradoxically, humans don’t live; where they don’t speak...they are only insinuated on canvasses that appear to be instant photographs of a known reality. Architecture becomes space to get to know one and other, perceive, learn, and seize on our nostalgia as they define us as human beings.
